Cleveland Indians thank Jacque Mazey, who crocheted 40 afghans for players and staff
If you haven’t heard by now, last week, 67-year-old Jacque Mazey of Perrysburg, OH specially delivered forty hand-crocheted afghans for Tribe players, coaches and broadcasters.
Along with her afghans, which each include over a million stitches, Jacque included a personalized note for every recipient.
So, today, we brought Jacque to Progressive Field as a thank you. In addition, we had our guys sign a baseball for her as a token of our thanks.
We also had another little surprise for her during batting practice, when Indians OF Rajai Davis paid her a surprise visit to personally thank her for her gift.
It’s fans that always make baseball so special, but fans like Jacque are truly one-of-a-kind.
