Jason Kipnis drove in three runs and Mike Napoli hit his team-high 24th homer in the Tribe’s 8-0 win over Oakland on Sunday at Progressive Field. In sweeping the A’s, the Indians maintain their 4.5-game lead over the Tigers in the AL Central and their AL-best winning percentage (.588, 60-42).

Kipnis had a two-run single, Francisco Lindor a sac fly and Napoli that homer in the third; the homer marked Napoli’s 1,000th career hit. In the fourth, Roberto Perez had an RBI single and Kipnis added a sac fly, while Abraham Almonte added a fifth-inning sac fly.

Corey Kluber improved to 10-8 and lowered his ERA to 3.27 by pitching seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. He ranks first in the American League in FanGraphs’ WAR measurement.
