Tips for Monday’s sold-out Cleveland Indians game at Progressive Field
Coming off an 8-2 trip and a club-record 14-game win streak, the Indians return home Monday night for a sold-out Fourth of July game against the Detroit Tigers.
The first-place Tribe, leading the Tigers by 5.5 games, will look to continue its dominance over Detroit; the Indians are 9-0 against the Tigers this season, sweeping Detroit three times.
Here is some important information to make your experience as enjoyable as possible:
• Be loud! After a close loss on Saturday that ended the club’s record streak, the team ran out of gas on Sunday in a lopsided loss to the Jays. They’ll need your energy – Jason Kipnis already commented on looking forward to the crowd after Sunday’s game:
Jason Kipnis: “We’ve heard about the sellout. You’ve got 25 guys in here that are really excited to get home.”

• All gates open at 5PM: Due to the sellout crowd, we’ve changed our gate time procedures to all gates opening at 5PM.
• Arrive early: To ensure your best chance at obtaining a Batting Practice Pullover courtesy of KeyBank – available to 15,000 fans tonight – we encourage fans to arrive early. Additionally, due to preparations for the Republican National Convention, the area around the ballpark will be more crowded than normal and we encourage fans to allow extra time to arrive and get situated before first pitch.
• Parking: Due to RNC prep, the Gateway East parking garage will be passes only.
