Girls and Women Baseball Game to be held at League Park in August
Justine Siegal, the Lake County Captains, and the Baseball Heritage Museum at League Park are holding a unique Girls and Women Only Baseball Game.
The game is open to mothers and daughters, aunts and nieces, sisters, or any female who has a love and passion to play real baseball (not fast pitch softball). Individual players are welcome and encouraged to play. The game is open to all age groups and skill levels. The fee to play at historic League Park is $25 per pair or $15 per individual.
You’re invited to play on the same field where Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run, where Joe DiMaggio got his 56th hit during his consecutive game hitting streak, where Satchel Paige, Bob Feller, and Cy Young all pitched, and where legends of the game like Tris Speaker, Ty Cobb, and Shoeless Joe Jackson made their mark. After the game, the Baseball Heritage Museum will be open for you to browse through the history of the game.
The game is scheduled for Sunday, August 14th starting at 1:00. League Park is located on the east side of Cleveland at 66th and Lexington Avenue. It is three blocks north of Chester Avenue.
