Indians Homestand Guide: Tribe faces Mets and Mariners

The Cleveland Indians return to Progressive Field for a six-game homestand against the Mets (April 15-17) and Mariners (April 19-21). Weekend highlights include Jackie Robinson Day on Friday and Kids Run the Bases on Sunday presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Thursday is Weather Education Day presented by WKYC. All participants will receive a Weather Education Booklet.

Infield District:

The Indians have added seven new local restaurants – making it 12 at Progressive Field – plus a beer garden featuring Great Lakes Brewing Co., a new team shop and plenty more! Check out photos and all the details here!

Fans who volunteer this summer in the Cleveland community can earn Tribe tickets through the Indians Volunteer Challenge, this year featuring #ServiceWithSlider! The Tribe has teamed with BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence on this year’s challenge; fans who volunteer four hours can win Tribe tickets! Learn more!

VeloSano:

Help the Indians and Cleveland Clinic in the fight against cancer and join Sandy Alomar and the Tribe’s team in this July’s VeloSano Bike to Cure event! Fans who join the Tribe’s team will ride with an Indians legend and get a cool Indians bike jersey. (Minimum fundraising requirements exist.) More info.

Jackie Robinson Day: A video tribute will spotlight the contributions of baseball pioneers Jackie Robinson and Larry Doby during pregame festivities. Additionally, all players will be wearing No. 42 on their jerseys.

Diverse Business Partner recognition: The Indians will recognize minority- and female-owned business partners before the night’s game.

 

Saturday, April 16 vs. Mets @ 4:10PM

District Ticket: Our $13 District Ticket, presented by SportsTime Ohio, is back! Fans can grab one only at Indians.com for a Standing Room Only ticket, and their first drink (12-ounce beer, bottled water or Pepsi product) is on us!

Gayloard Perry first pitch: Tribe alum Gaylord Perry will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Perry is one of four Tribe pitchers to win the Cy Young award.

 

Sunday, April 17 vs. Mets @ 1:10PM

Kids Run the Bases Presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s: Young Tribe fans will have the opportunity to run the bases like their favorite players after the game! All kids (12 & under) can stay immediately after the game to take part, and 100 participants will receive an item from Cleveland Clinic Children’s when they’re finished.

Kluber’s Kids: Kluber’s Kids hosts a Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital patient and  his or her family every Wednesday home game. Guests have a pregame experience that includes watching batting practice and meeting Corey Kluber. Additionally, guests receive goodie bags and an autographed Kluber jersey, and enjoy the game Club Level with all-you-can-eat food.

 

Thursday, April 21 vs. Mariners @ 12:10PM

Weather Education Day presented by WKYC: Approx. 3,000 kids and their families will participate in Weather Education Day, which features a science presentation from WKYC. Weather mascots will also be in attendance. Additionally, all participants in Weather Ed Day will receive a Weather Education Booklet.

Today’s Getaway Game is presented by the UPS Store: The UPS Store presents today’s getaway travel game. A representative from one of more than 40 local The UPS Store locations will throw out the first pitch.
