Cleveland Indians host area high school students for Career Day at Progressive Field
The Cleveland Indians played host to 80 area high school students for a Career Day event on Thursday, introducing area youngsters to different aspects of the organization to which they may not have been previously exposed.
Students heard from professionals in athletic training, communications, marketing, corporate partnerships, finance, tickets and more, and heard about different paths to a career in sports.
Students from Rhodes, Lincoln West, John Hay and St. Martin de Porres participated.
Career Day is one of the initiatives made possible by Cleveland Indians Charities Community Partners. Each program was strategically created to support and strengthen youth through service initiatives that focus on education, health and fitness. Our Community Partners – MCPc, Mo Vaughn Enterprises, Minute Men Staffing Services, and Victory Park Ohio help us to achieve our goals to prepare youth for successful lives and improve the quality of baseball and softball programs in Cleveland.
