Shift pays tribute to ’95 World Series team, which will be recognized weekend of June 19-21

 The Cleveland Indians and GV Art + Design of Lakewood unveiled the 1995 AL Championship promotional T-shirt, which will be distributed to 12,500 fans on June 20, courtesy of Pepsi.

Indians first base coach and former All-Star catcher Sandy Alomar and GV Art’s Greg and George Vlosich unveiled the T-shirt in an afternoon ceremony at the ballpark. The shirt pays tribute to the team that won the AL pennant before eventually falling to the Atlanta Braves in the World Series.

The shirt will be part of a weekend-long celebration of the team, with appearances from other members of the team throughout. The Tribe’s game on June 20 against the Rays will be the only place fans can get the T-shirt; it will not be sold in GV Art’s store or online.

Fans can secure the shirt by purchasing a Promo Pass ticket; for an additional $5, Promo Pass ensures fans get the promotional item even if all items have been distributed at the game. More details at Indians.com/PromoPass.

The weekend also features a special event on Saturday afternoon: “1995 Indians Reunion,” where fans can take part in a Q&A session with members of the 1995 team and watch a VIP showing of the movie “Wahoo! What a Finish!” The film chronicles the team’s run in 1995.
