PHOTO GALLERY: Right Field Gate Renovations
We wanted to open up the ballpark to Downtown Cleveland and really make it a welcoming place to the bustling downtown. The new Right Field Gate is intended to open up the space and make it more accessible. You can now see in the ballpark from E 9th, and also see much of our history and statues.
Jim Thome, Bob Feller and Larry Doby (to come) are now housed outside the gates and stand prominently in the heart of Cleveland. There are new benches and as you walk through the gate, there is a spacious area where people can stand to watch the game and heritage park in easily accessible to the right.
As part of this revamp of the gate, the old Batters Eye Bar and walkway from the parking garage is gone.
