UPDATE: Kluber, House join Tito and Sandy Alomar at Barley House next Thursday for celeb bartending event to benefit VeloSano
Indians skipper Terry Francona and 1st base coach Sandy Alomar Jr. will join starters Corey Kluber and T.J. House next Thursday night, September 25 at the Barley House in downtown Cleveland at a special fundraising event for VeloSano.
Francona and company will serve as celebrity bartenders from 7PM to 9PM Thursday evening, with 20% of proceeds going directly to the cause of supporting life-saving cancer research at the Cleveland Clinic.
The Indians partnered with the Cleveland Clinic to support VeloSano, an annual charity bike race event, this past July in Cleveland. Alomar was among a team of Cleveland Indians riders, which includes the team’s Chairman and CEO Paul Dolan, and other members of the front office.
Fans who are interested in obtaining an Indians bike jersey have an opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket from 7PM to 8:45PM Thursday evening, when two bike jerseys–autographed by the celebrity bartenders–will be raffled off between 8:45PM and 9:00PM.
If you are unable to make it to the Barley House on Thursday, fans have the option to become a virtual rider by raising $500.00 for cancer research. All virtual riders will receive an Indians bike jersey, courtesy of VeloSano.
