Longtime Tribe anthem singer Rocco Scotti returns, shows he’s still got it
Longtime Tribe national anthem singer Rocco Scotti was back at the ballpark, along with many family members, to be recognized for his many years of performing a legendary operatic national anthem.
As a recording of one of his anthems — accompanied by the music of the Rome Orchestra! — played, Rocco belted it out on his own, with a little help from his grandson, Nick, with whom he lives. City of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson also proclaimed Monday Rocco Scotti Day, and Dan Ball, from the mayor’s office, was on hand to present Rocco with the proclamation. Pretty cool.
