Indians Homestand Notes: Fans’ guide to 11 games at Progressive Field

The Indians return home for an 11-game homestand that’s part of a stretch of 30 games in 30 days. It begins with four games vs. Detroit (Sept. 1-4), three vs. the White Sox (Sept. 5-7), a makeup of June 18 rainout vs. the Angels (Sept. 8) and three vs. the Twins (Sept. 9-11).

  • Fan Designed T-shirt, courtesy of Cleveland Clinic (10,000 fans): Saturday, Sept. 6
  • Fireworks (tribute to Huey Lewis and the News), presented by FirstMerit Bank: Saturday, Sept. 6
  • KeyBank Kids Fun Day: Sunday, Sept. 7
  • Kids Run the Bases, presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s: Sunday, Sept. 7

TRIBE PARK AND RIDE, PRESENTED BY SPORTSTIME OHIO, IS BACK!

Fans can leave the transportation to the Indians and SportsTime Ohio from area suburbs with the return of Tribe Park and Ride for a second season! Tickets are only $5! Full Tribe Park and Ride details, including dates and pickup locations, along with tickets, are available at Indians.com/ParkandRide.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 vs. WHITE SOX @ 7:05PM

  • Sugardale Dollar Dog Night: Come out to Progressive Field and enjoy Sugardale Dollar Dog Night, one of 13 during 2014. Hot dogs are only $1 in the ballpark all evening.
  • Fireworks, presented by Wayside Furniture: Tonight’s Fireworks show, as voted by fans, will be set to the evolution of pop music.
  • Alumni meet and greets: Dave Burba and Chad Ogea will meet fans in Heritage Park.
  • Brohio: Governor Adam Gockowski will lead the charge from Brohio, in Section 117, at Progressive Field for all Friday and Saturday games. A new T-shirt design is available for all fans purchasing tickets in Brohio in 2014.
  • MLBPAA In-Park Auctions: The MLB players alumni association will hold an auction of unique baseball memorabilia by Section 156, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Cleveland Indians Charities, each day this weekend.
  • Sugardale couponing: The company will offer fans coupons upon exiting the ballpark.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 6 vs. WHITE SOX @ 7:05PM

  •  ALL GATES: OPEN at 5:30PM (Gate C/East Pedestrian Bridge open at 4:30PM)
  • Broadcast Information: SportsTime Ohio-HD, WTAM/WMMS/IRN
  • Fan Designed T-shirt (10,000 fans), courtesy of Cleveland Clinic: Fans can get their hands on this Tribe T-shirt, as designed and voted on by fans earlier this season.
  • Fireworks, presented by FirstMerit Bank.: Tonight’s Fireworks show will be set to Huey Lewis and the News and is presented by FirstMerit Bank.
  • Paul Konerko presentation: The Indians will present a retirement gift to the long-time White Sox first baseman before the game.
  • Alumni meet and greets: Dave Burba and Chad Ogea will meet fans in Heritage Park.
  • Cleveland Clinic CPR training: As a valued partner of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Clinic is proud to provide special training for attendees of the Saturday, September 6 Indians vs. White Sox game. From 4 – 7 pm on Gateway Plaza (near Gate A), Cleveland Clinic will be on-site with the American Heart Association teaching Hands-Only CPR, a lifesaving skill that only takes a moment to become familiar,  along with sharing information about the Pulsepoint app. This app puts citizens who familiar with Hands Only CPR at the side of others who have suffered sudden cardiac arrest and need CPR immediately and creates an army of citizens able to respond and deliver CPR when needed.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 vs. WHITE SOX @ 1:05PM

  • KeyBank Kids Fun Day: Activities include:
  • A new SportsTime Ohio show hosted by Fox Sports Ohio girl Sara and featuring Indians players – show begins around 11:45AM
  • Jungle Terry
  • Kids Clubhouse, featuring the Rookie Suite presented by University Hospitals and Slugger’s Sandlot presented by KeyBank
  • Kids Run the Bases Presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s: Young Tribe fans will have the opportunity to run around the bases like their favorite players. All kids (12 & Under) can stay immediately after the game to take part, and will receive a giveaway item from Cleveland Clinic Children’s when they’re finished.
  • KeyBank Glove Drive autograph session/check presentation: The Indians will present a check to the Baseball Tomorrow Fund as part of the KeyBank Glove Drive that’s taken place all year at Progressive Field. Plus, those who donated to the drive will get autographs from select Indians players after the game.
  • Alumni meet and greets: Dave Burba and Chad Ogea will meet fans in Heritage Park.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 vs. ANGELS @ 1:05PM

  • ALL GATES: OPEN at 12:00PM

  • Game played as makeup of June 18 rainout: Los Angeles will make a one-day visit to Cleveland to make up a rainout on June 18, part of a stretch in which the Indians play 30 games in 30 days.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 vs. TWINS @ 7:05PM

Indians Getaway Game presented by The UPS Store: The UPS Store presents today’s getaway travel game. A representative from one of more than 40 local The UPS Store locations will throw out the first pitch.
