Now that we’ve reached 9,000 wins in Indians history, noting the memorable ones

The Indians are one win away from the 9,000th victory in club history after Thursday night’s win over the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Tribe is third all-time in wins among American League franchises (behind the Yankees and Boston); the Indians were a charter member of the AL, established in 1901. The National League came before it.

The Indians have won 85 or more games 36 times, and 90 or more games in 18 seasons.
