#Whiff total up to $30,000 raised for Cleveland chapter of MLB’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities
If you follow us on Twitter — if you aren’t, you should be — you may have noticed us using the hashtag #whiff. A lot.
It’s for a great cause, and thanks to the help of all of our followers on Twitter, we’ve now raised $30,000 for the Cleveland chapter of MLB’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program.
Overall, program sponsor Head & Shoulders will reward seven MLB Clubs with the most #Whiff tweets each month with a donation to their local RBI league(s) totaling $40,000. Head & Shoulders will make an additional $1 donation to the national RBI program for every strikeout recorded by MLB teams in 2014. The RBI program is the MLB youth initiative designed to give young people from urban and underserved communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball, encourage academic success and achievement, and teach important life lessons and values.
