TENTATIVE OPENING DAY LINEUP SET: The Indians announced several
roster moves Wednesday morning that tentatively round out Cleveland’s
final Opening Day roster, as RHP JOSH TOMLIN is scheduled to be op-
tioned to Triple-A Columbus, while RHP CARLOS CARRASCO (rotation),
RHP BLAKE WOOD (bullpen) and RHP SCOTT ATCHISON (bullpen) have
all been informed that they will break camp on the Major League 25-man
roster…barring unforeseen circumstances, Cleveland will carry 13 pitchers
and 12 position players to start the year.

SALAZAR TO START HOME OPENER: Indians MGR Terry Francona also
announced Wednesday morning that RHP DANNY SALAZAR would start
Cleveland’s home opener at Progressive Field on April 4 vs. Minnesota, the
club’s fourth game of the season…Salazar also start the most recent game
played in Cleveland, taking the bump against Tampa Bay in the 2013 A.L.
Wild Card Game.

THE HOME STRETCH: The Indians won their 18th game of the spring
on Wednesday, one more than the club’s 2013 Spring Training win total…
with 3 games remaining on the 2014 Cactus League schedule the Indians
are now just one victory shy of matching their best exhibition season since
re-joining the Arizona Circuit in 2009…the Indians played their final home
game of the spring on Wednesday and finished the 2014 Spring Training
campaign with a 9-6 record at Goodyear Ballpark…Cleveland will round out
the club’s spring slate with 3 road games, squaring off against the Arizona
Diamondbacks today in Scottsdale before flying to San Diego for a pair of
friendlies against the Padres at the University of San Diego’s ballpark…
the Indians have played 25 games in 25 days since Cleveland’s March 1
rainout at Camelback Ranch against Chicago-AL…Cleveland has won 6
of its last 10 games as the club nears the season opener on March 31 in

TODAY’S TILT: The Indians will travel to Scottsdale to square off with the
Diamondbacks for the third and final time this spring… the Tribe defeated
the Diamondbacks 7-1 in the two clubs first matchup on March 11 here in
Scottsdale, and dropped the second decision 4-2 back in Goodyear…the
two club’s split a pair of Cactus League meetings last season as Cleveland
holds a 8-6 advantage since joining the CL circuit in 2009…the Indians are
also 7-5 against the D’Backs all-time during regular season play, winners
of 5 of the last 6 meetings…the two club’s will play a pair of 2-game sets
this season on June 24-25 at Chase Field, and again on August 12-13 in

BROADCAST INFORMATION: Today’s game between the Indians and
Diamondbacks can be heard across the Indians Radio Network (WTAM in
Cleveland) and also through a live online webcast, which can be accessed

via webcast…MLB Network will air a live broadcast of the final game of the
Tribe’s Cactus League schedule on March 29 at San Diego.

YESTERDAY’S RECAP: The Indians won their final home game of the
spring, besting the Milwaukee Brewers 10-3 yesterday afternoon at Good-
year Ballpark…the Tribe offense tallied 17 hits and went 9-for-18 with run-
ners in scoring position in the contest…LONNIE CHISENHALL (2-for-4, 2
R) and NICK SWISHER (2-for-3, BB, R) each connected for a solo home
run, while MICHAEL BRANTLEY (2-for-2, 3B, BB) and JASON KIPNIS (2-
for-3, 2B, R) paced the team with 2 RBI apiece…Brantley raised his spring
average to .522 with his effort and leads Cleveland with 12 RBI…CAR-
LOS SANTANA (1-for-2) drew a pair of walks and scored twice…JUSTIN
MASTERSON, scheduled to start Monday’s season-opener in Oakland,
improved to 4-0 in his final spring tune-up…the right-hander worked 5.2
innings, holding the Brewers to a single run on 3 hits.
