ROLLED UP ACES: After 4 scheduled exhibition matchups (one rainout) in 2013
the Indians and Royals are set to face off in their only Spring Training tilt on the 2014
slate…Cleveland went 0-3 against Kansas City last spring and are just 2-7-1 all-time
since joining the Cactus League in 2009…in 2013 regular season play, Cleveland
held a 10-9 edge over its Central Division foe as the Tribe has gone .500+ against
Kansas City in 9 of last 10 seasons.

TRIBE AT A GLANCE: The Indians have reeled off back-to-back victories after
dropping just their second game of the spring slate on Monday vs. Los Angeles-
AL…prior to that loss, the Indians had not suffered a loss over a 10-game span,
going 9-0-1 with their only non-win coming in Saturday’s 4-4 tie with the Padres in
Peoria…the Indians enter today’s game at 11-2-1, the highest winning percentage
(.846) in the Majors.

PENCIL HIM IN: After Wednesday’s victory over the Padres Tribe manager Terry
Francona announced that RHP COREY KLUBER would start the club’s second
game of the season on April 1 at Oakland…after battling for a roster spot and start-
ing the campaign at Triple-A Columbus in 2013, Kluber went 11-5 with a 3.85 ERA in
24 starts/26 games after being promoted to the big leagues on April 17.
