The Tribe officially has a fan flying out to Spring Training to compete for a spot in the MLB Fan Cave! Alexandria Justice was selected as a Top 30 finalist late on Tuesday and will arrive in Goodyear on Monday. TribeVibe caught up with Alex before she heads to Arizona to demonstrate why she is the ultimate baseball fan.

TribeVibe: What was your reaction when you found out you made the Top 30?

Alexandria Justice: Just like for the top 50, I’m not afraid to admit that I cried like a baby. Waiting for them to announce the top 30 after the voting closed at 5 p.m. was almost the death of me. I swear I didn’t blink for minutes at a time while staring at my computer screen and started to get lightheaded from holding my breath. Finally, I refreshed the page for the millionth time and there I was, in the top 30. My best friend was waiting outside of my room (I wanted to be alone, just in case) so when I screamed, “OH MY GOD, I LOVE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD!” she got the hint that it was safe to come in. She picked me up, spun me around, and we freaked out for the next five minutes. Once again, it was hard to believe that I wasn’t dreaming.

TV: What do your friends and family think about your Fan Cave campaign?

AJ: First of all, I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am for my friends and family’s support. I’d say a few of them could probably become professional campaign managers with how good they were at helping to promote me. They’re all very excited for me. Even though they think I’m a maniac for wanting to watch 2,430 baseball games, they know it would be a dream come true for me, so they’ve been here for me every step of the way.

TV: What are the next steps?

AJ: I leave for Goodyear early next week and will be back a few days later! I have no idea what exactly is in store for me once I get there, but while I’m there I’ll be sure to post as many updates and pictures as possible so everyone can see what’s happening.

TV: Have you befriended any other candidates? Is there one you’re looking forward to meeting?

AJ: I follow several of the other top 30 finalists on Twitter and have had some communication with a few of them. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, as any of them could possibly become my “Fan Cave Family” in NYC!

TV: With all the excitement with the Tribe, what’s been your favorite offseason move? What are you most excited about this season?

AJ: I’m definitely excited about (new manager Terry) Francona; it seems his presence has been a real benefit to us in bringing in some extremely talented players. Once the season gets rolling I’m excited to see his relationship with the team and how all of his offseason moves play out.

TV: We recently announced our promotional schedule; which promo do you think is the most exciting?

AJ: Everyone is loving the Albert Belle bobblehead giveaway and I totally am too, but I’m super stoked about the hat giveaways and the overload of dollar dog nights.

TV: How can fans support you? What else should we know about your Fan Cave candidacy?

AJ: Fans can support me by following me on my Twitter, @alexJustice4all! Just keep up on all of my updates and check out the awesome pictures I’m going to be posting while at spring training. I want my fellow Tribe fans to know that I will do my very best to make Clevelanders proud and prove that we are the best fans in baseball!
