New Era’s fresh Batting Practice caps offer Indians fans new look
In need of a fresh look, Tribe fans? New Era, the official cap provider of Major League Baseball, unveiled this afternoon a new series of batting caps as part of the MLB Authentic Collection that will be worn beginning with Spring Training this week.
According to information from New Era, the new hats, dubbed the Diamond Era 59FIFTY, offer a revolutionary lightweight, moisture-wicking design and offer increased breathability by employing a new diamond print fabric. The caps also feature 50-plus UV protection that helps deflect the sun’s rays.
Fans will recognize the Indians’ new BP look, which showcases the traditional Block C. Other clubs’ new lids have popular logos that never before have been featured on an official on-field cap.
The new cap, which already is available for purchase in Goodyear, Ariz., where the Indians kicked off Spring Training on Monday, will arrive at Progressive Field and at Indians Team Shops across the area beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 13. They’ll also be available on MLB.com.
